Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated by the people of different faiths at the end of Ramjan month. Basically, it is the festival of Muslims which promote brotherhood. People put Rojas as continues fast for a month just to remember God is the reward of Allah.They pray for peace and progress in life.
On this auspicious day, they just ignore the grievance with each other and hug them. Also, they distribute Sewaiyan (A sweet Dish) in order to turn the bitterness into sweetness.
Happiness and charm of this festival is increasing day by day. Eid – ul – Fitr celebration will start by the end of the holy month of Ramadan and especially, when the Moon looks. Muslim also likes to thank Allah on Eid for giving them power to keep all Rojas over the month of fasting.
On Eid, before morning prayers in mosques, it is the duty of every Muslim that he should give charity or alms. This donation is known as Zakat ul – Fitr.
During this festival, new clothes are worn in addition to the great food. Along with this, people exchange gifts between family and friends. Moreover, Sivaya of this festival is one of the most important foods which are relished by all.
How to celebrate Eid ul Fitr
On Eid festival, people get up early in the morning and go for morning prayers called as (Namaj) after taking the holy bath. It is considered auspicious to wear white cloths and perfumes. The white color is considered a symbol of simplicity and purity. Also, there is a custom of eating dates before Namaj. Along with this, before prayer or Namaj, donation or Zakat is distributed among the poor people.
After performing Namaj, they congratulate Eid and offer sweet Seviyan to others in order to strengthen their relationship by eliminating the resentment. Apart from this, there is a custom of giving IDI. Elders give some amount of money according to their pocket to the juniors and it is known as Idi.
Rules for Prayer of Eid ul Fitr
Below are some predefined rules for the prayer of Eid Ul Fitr.
• Eat some sweet before going for the Eid prayer (Namaj) and eat dry dates soaked in milk in return.
• There are 13 things are Sunnah in Eid – ul – Fitr.
• You should say “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha, Illlahu, Vllahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar and Lillahil hamd” while going to the mosque.
• After the prayer of Namaj, you should congratulate Eid and distribute Seviyan to everyone.
Sunnah of Eid ul Fitr
1.) Adorn yourselves according to Sharia.
2.) Gusl
3.) Miswak
4.) Wearing good cloths
5.) Apply fragrance.
6.) Wake up early in the morning.
7.) Arriving Eidgah too early in the morning.
8.) Eat some sweet dish before going to Eidgah.
9.) Perform Eid prayers at Eidgah.
10.) Go from a way and come back from the other way.
11.) Go without any vehicle.
12.) Read Takbir slowly on the way.
