*An Auspicious Yoga of Astrology*
There are many auspicious as well as inauspicious Yogasor combinations of Vedic Astrology.Buddimaturya Yoga is an auspicious Yoga.
An Astrological Yogas of Vedic or Hindu Astrology is formed due to some specific combinations of signs, planets, houses etc.
How Buddimaturya Yoga is formed? …
If in a birth chart the lord of the 5th house is an auspicious planet and it is either under aspect of another auspicious planet or it occupies an auspicious sign then this yoga is formed. (This definition is as per old astrological treatises)
Important Note: One needs to understand the use of the word ‘auspicious’. Whether a planet is auspicious (favourable) or inauspicious (unfavourable) is decided as per the ascendant sign of a birth chart. Just for an example the Sun is auspicious or favourable or a benefic planet for a Leo ascendant birth chart, but it is inauspicious for a Virgo ascendant birth chart.
Considering this fact the 5th lord can be auspicious only in birth charts of Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces ascendant signs.
Results of Buddimaturya Yoga…
If this Yoga is formed in a birth chart then the native of that chart will be a person of great intelligence and good character.
Practice Reveals Contrary Results …
In practice it has been observed that some very intelligent and persons of good character were born with birth charts of inauspicious 5th lord. Therefore the great Indian astrologer the late Mr B. V. Raman had suggested that this Yoga should be considered present only if the 5th lord (irrespective of its auspiciousness or inauspiciousness) is associated with Jupiter, Mercury and Venus and also the 5th house is occupied by an auspicious planet.
Real Life Example …
The following is the birth chart of a native (a retired Judge) with great intelligence, good memory power and good integrity of character.
In this birth chart the 5th house is occupied by its own lord Venus as well as the auspicious 9th lord Mercury.
