Significance of worshiping the Sun on the day of Makar Sankranti!
The importance of the Makar Sankranti increases because on this day Sun is reaching to that point from where he transmits his all-positive energy to the human body. However, how to receive this positive energy it depends upon the human body; human body must be conscious enough to receive it.
Else, body could not observe this energy and cannot get its benefits. When human body energetically and consciously receiving this positive energy, this energy reaches to each body cells and each cell becomes more powerful to fight with any kind of decease. The Sun is having the power of trinity divine Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, in that way worshiping the Sun is equivalent to worshiping the trinity divine Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.
Makar Sankranti and Mahalaxmi
According to our mythology, the Mahalaxmi was appeared on the day of Makar Sankarani. She was appeared at the time of churning the sea by the Gods, after the war between Gods and Demons. At that time, she was an unmarried girl. From where she was originated from the Sea, that place was named as ‘Kanya Kumari’. It is placed in the south corner of India. It is the place where three Seas are combining, and the best Temple of Kanya Kumari is situated.
While churning the Sea fourteen gemstones were found and Goddess Maha Lakshmi was the one out of the fourteen gemstones. Because she was and unmarried girl, temple of Kanya Kumari has been built for Maha Lakshmi’s unmarried form. The holy ground has been formed for the temple and since then hundreds of thousands of devotees are visiting and worshiping in Maha Lakshmi temple.
After Mahalaxmi’s evolution, Lord Vishnu appeared at the sea shore and he accepted Mahalakshi as his wife. They got married at the sea shore and this time is called ‘Makar Sankranti’ and this day is very important.
The devotees, those performs Makar Sankrati with full of devotion and customs, and worshiping the Maha Lakshmi on this Mahurat and worshiping the Sun, are not only overcoming from their all delinquencies, deceases, and pain, they are is also overcoming from their poverty, loans and all kinds of economical problems and their place becomes Goddess Lakshimi’s permanent residence.
